🟣英語で「2021年」は何と読むか？
2021年は、
twenty twenty-one
又は
two thousand (and) twenty-one
と読みます。
・2010年以降の読み方としては、twenty ten (2010年)、twenty twenty (2020年)、twenty twenty-one (2021年)のように、twenty 〜が主に使われているようです。
🟣西暦4桁 2000年以降の読み方は？
・2000～2009年では、「two thousand〜」と読みます。
・2001年 → two thousand (and) one
・2003年 → two thousand (and) three
・My son was born in 2003.
→2003年の読み方は、two thousand three.
「私の息子は2003年に生まれました。」
・2010年～では「twenty 〜」が主に使われているようです。
・2010年 → twenty ten
・2020年 → twenty twenty
🟣西暦4桁 (1000年～1999年)は、上2桁と下2桁を区切って読みます。
・1192年 → eleven ninety-two
・1972年 → nineteen seventy-two
・1965年 → nineteen sixty-five
・1628年 → sixteen twenty-eight
🟣10の位の数字がゼロの場合は？
・1106 → eleven o six イレブン オー シックス
・1905年 → nineteen o five
・808年→ eight o eight
・1604年→ sixteen o four
上2桁はそのまま読み、10の位のゼロを「o（オー）」と読んだあと、最後の1桁をそのまま読むことが多いです。
この読み方は、2000年代には適用されず、2000年代では2桁目の0は読まないのが普通のようです。

🟣1400年や1700年など下2桁がゼロの場合は？
・1400年→fourteen hundred
・1300年 → thirteen hundred
・1700年 → seventeen hundred
上2桁の数字をそのまま読み、下2桁はhundredをつけます。
🟣下3桁が000の場合の読み方は？
1000年、2000年、3000年のミレニアムイヤーは通常の数字を読むときと同じように読みます。
1000年 → (the year) one thousand
2000年 → (the year) two thousand
通常の数字を読むときと読み方が同じなので、(the year)をつけて西暦ということを強調することがあります。

🟣紀元前はどうように言うか？
紀元前の場合、数字の読み方は同じですが、「B.C.」を数字の後につけます。
「B.C.」は「Before Christ（キリスト生誕前）」の略です。
読む際は、「ビースィー」と読みます。
紀元前25年 → twenty-five B.C.
紀元後は「A.D.」を数字のあとにつけます。
「A.D.」は「Anno Domini（ラテン語で西暦紀元）」の略です。
